Originally released overseas in 1984 but withheld from general release in Japan, Ratchet has been reimagined by Takara Tomy’s Missing Link concept, recreating the figure as if it had been designed in line with the heroic Cybertron style seen in the anime.

Transforming from a Nissan Cherry Vanette ambulance into a robot via one-piece transformation, this Ratchet maintains the use of zinc alloy parts and a car mode faithful to the original, while offering a heroic, anime-inspired robot mode. The figure also features a third “Respect Mode”, reminiscent of the original toy’s design. Accessories include a spanner, laser, and removable rocket launcher, with storage options in the backpack. A female-style pilot figure is included, plus a secret emblem that appears when warmed with your finger.
